Ellie and Phillip Lerum are a creative team based in Idaho Falls, Idaho, whose work blends redemptive storytelling, imaginative worlds, and a foundation of faith.

Ellie is a Christian fantasy author and blogger known for weaving emotional depth, whimsical touches, and hard-won hope into every story she tells. Her writing, often inspired by personal grief and spiritual questions, explores healing and courage through richly built worlds like Illeross. A Tolkien admirer and mother of two spirited girls (plus a few fictional griffins), Ellie finds joy in writing stories where readers feel seen—and maybe even a little braver.

Phillip is the illustrator behind the world of Illeross and Ellie’s other projects. With a degree in Virtual Technology and Design and a minor in Fine Arts, he brings a cinematic eye and deep conviction to his digital work. Grounded in his Christian faith, Phillip’s art adds weight, beauty, and emotion to the stories he helps shape. When not working on commissions or sketching new worlds, he embraces life as a stay-at-home dad and creative partner.

Together, they create meaningful stories that reflect the light and dark tensions of life—and the grace found in between.
